About

The National Honor Society (NHS) is an elite group of high school juniors and seniors committed to helping their school and community uphold the standards of honor and excellence upon which they were founded.

Requirements:
  • Must be a high school junior or senior (you apply as a sophomore or junior)
  • Must maintain a 3.8 GPA (out of 5) or above throughout the course of their time at Westside High School.
  • Must have average or above average conduct throughout their time at Westside High School.
  • A commitment to community service.
  • Exemplify some or many of the characteristics which the National Honor Society was founded on; honor, scholarship, leadership, commitment, and character.
Past Community Service Projects:
  • Project C.U.R.E.
  • Fall & Spring Blood Drives
  • Fun Run
  • Houston Marathon Volunteers
  • Various Elementary School Carnivals
  • And numerous Westside and Community events
We are sponsored by three great Westside teachers: Donna Patch, Pam McClendon, and Carolyn Klein.
